The weather turned out to be a great day for the annual Monster Dash 5K in Troy. The hilly course which runs through Frear Park is one of the many local races. I have not run a 5K in a while so was curious to know my time. I knew the first half of the course would be hilly, so I didn't want to go all out at the beginning. My first and 2nd mile splits were close to 8:15 minutes each. For the last mile I know I was running at least 7:30 pace.
However, it turns out that the total distance of the course was only 2.7 miles! They must have miss-measured the course! Disappointing! My finish time was 21:30.
