8.2 Miler

I have the day off today. After getting the yard mowed, I decided it was a great time for a run. It has been very wet the last few days, so the sun was very welcome.

I finally splurged and got a GPS watch. The Garmin Forerunner 305. It will be very handy during my next training runs to be able to tell exactly how far I have run. And I think I can upload my runs to my computer and calculate stats (pace, distance, etc) and map routes.

I started from my house and ran the Englemore route, then entered Mill Creek, and took the long outer loop back to my house for a total of 8.2 miles. Around mile 5, a pop-up shower rolled in, so I ran in the rain for about a mile. Thankfully, my knee did not show any discomfort.

Only 1 week until the Boilermaker!
