11.4 Miler

Today is supposed to be the 3rd 20-mile training run for those of us training for the Vermont City Marathon (3 weeks away!). However, with my tight IT band stiffness I have not been able to run long distances.

Sharon and I met at the Y this morning and ran to Coach's house. Sharon and I ran the first 5-mile loop together (6-minute run, 1-minute walk). My plan was to do the loop 4 times to get the 20-miler in, but I could only manage to finish the second loop. During the last half of the second loop, my knee started hurting only after running for about 2 minutes.

With the jog back to the Y, the total is 11.4 miles.
