Saturdays are the team's long run days of 8+ mile or more. Depending on runner's training plan and goals, the distance can grow up to 20 miles (for marathons) over the course of the training period.
Today was my first time to join the group on Saturday for a long run. There were probably 15 or so runners. Most of the group planned to do the Englemore 8 miler. Coach Lichu ran with the newbies, myself, Sharon, and Vicki. We did part of the Englemore course for about 6.1 miles. It was a refreshing, running in a snow flurry. We will gradually work up to the full 8 mile run.
